Backcountry Runaway Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Handcrafted Gear & Merchandise No refunds unless we fail to ship within the time frame stated in the product description.

Primitive gear, including buckskin products, may require retailoring or repairs over time—this is expected with traditional materials.

We will repair or replace defective items but do not offer refunds. No refunds or replacements on raw materials, or certain tools. this includes but is not limited to (fire making sets, stone tools, sinew)

We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged packages once they leave our facility. Please contact the shipping carrier for claims. Shipping insurance is available at checkout for added protection

Gear repair fees apply after 90 days for general wear and tear. (15% of the cost of the product. customer is responsible for shipping costs)

2. Classes & Expeditions Cancellation Policy

50% of tuition is non-refundable immediately upon sign-up.

60+ days before start date → 50% refund (you lose your deposit).

45-59 days before start date → 25% refund (you lose 75% of tuition).

44 days or fewer before start date → No refunds, no transfers.

💡 Why?

50% upfront non-refundable deposit covers land permits, logistics, and planning.

As the course gets closer, our ability to replace your spot decreases, so refunds become stricter.

Leaving a Class or Expedition EarlyIf you leave due to injury or emergency, you receive class credit for the remaining time toward a future class.

No refunds or credits for leaving voluntarily or being removed for violating safety rules.

3. No-Show Policy If you do not show up for your class or expedition without prior notice, you forfeit your tuition.

4. Final Notes By purchasing any product or signing up for a class, you agree to this refund policy.
